Our teams work hard to maintain a culture that is conducive to creative thinking, empowerment and collaboration.We are currently looking to fill a Project Accounting Coordinator position at our Corporate Office located in Newport Beach, CA.

The Project Accounting Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances, exporting expenses and payments are made upon funding.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage the "job cost" accounting process from beginning to end. This includes, but is not limited to, setting up jobs in job cost system, inputting and updating budget, exporting payables, and job close-out.
  • Partner with the project manager in the monthly budget reallocation and job cost review.
  • Coordinate and assemble monthly draw packages for the construction lender including AIA-G702 form and excel lender report.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations in Sage and monthly upload to Real Page.
  • Prepare monthly check requests for Development Fee, Ground Lease, CAM & Interest Payments.
  • Prepare vendor payments (checks/ACH) when the draw is funded.
  • Prepare reimbursable draws for construction loan closings.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 years of experience as a project accountant.
  • Experience with hard and soft budgets.
  • Experience with construction documents needed, including: Lien waivers, certificate of insurance, AIAG702/703, etc.
  • Knowledge of project contracts and change order documents.
  • Experience in AP, AR, GL, project cost accounting and monthly close process.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with construction accounting software.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Required to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
