About the Job
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the individual shall identify, target, and deliver system and process improvement strategies in partnership with Strategic Sourcing Leadership Team
Short Term:
- Primary focus is managing the data and creating visibility of the status of material from critical suppliers
- Streamline and develop process to track from forecast, order to delivery.
- Work with expeditors to effectively manage the data and actions.
- Take lead on suppliers where Category Manager availability is constrained.
- Concentration on identifying with Category Manager guidance, sourcing and implementing alternate components.
- Status reporting, data management and resulting escalation management.
Medium/Long Term:
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for MRP design, development and implementation globally starting in 2022.
- Develop streamlined processes and actions for Mexico site startup.
- Lead process improvement activities including contract management (Power Systems and Hydraulics)
- Serve as interim category manager as needed due to attrition, turnover etc.#
About You
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, information systems, or similar field
Preferred Qualifications
- Located in Redmond, WA
- Experience and understanding of implementing MRP and experience with ERP implementation desired
- Experience and knowledge working with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean
- Project management skills
- Understands manufacturing, material management from an operational environment, willing to learn sourcing – helps sourcing integrate with operations and engineering
- Strong data management skills (Excel, Access)
- Ability to teach and present technical materials
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively at all levels and functions of the organization
- Metrics driven and customer focused
- Ability to translate conceptual thinking into project definitions and requirements
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to develop, direct, motivate and gain the commitment of teams
