Job Description
The Global Privacy Operations team is the team responsible for supporting inquiries and investigations relating to the privacy policy, practices, and privacy user rights for the family of Facebook products. Our team is motivated to provide best-in-class integrated support solutions that enhance our communities experience with Facebook and Privacy. As a Program Manager, you'll bring your passion for privacy, regulation and operations together to help develop and execute scalable support experiences on Facebook. The Privacy Operations Program Manager will first become a domain expert in our space and next bring that expertise to the table when collaborating with cross-functional partners on integrating privacy support for new products or integrating privacy support for new regulatory frameworks. A successful candidate will be effective at navigating relationships between legal, engineering, product, policy and communications to help us achieve operational excellence, build trust in Facebook and importantly, deliver insights to our internal partners.
  • Support our operations in documenting, reviewing and processing incoming data privacy requests
  • Become a domain expert in privacy enforcement policies in order to effectively advocate for our operational needs with key stakeholders (e.g., Product, Engineering, Legal, and other cross-functional teams)
  • Leverage your knowledge of privacy regulations, (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, PDPA, etc.) and apply it to real-world product applications in a tech environment
  • Communicate clear, objective, and patient explanations of team policies and protocols to our relevant stakeholders
  • Work with data and measurement partners to identify and track key program performance indicators, and ensure the results contribute to overall company, organization and team level goals
  • Escalate key policy gaps to policy partners, legal, and community operations, taking ownership of driving collaborative efforts to close these gaps and improve both group admin and group member experience
  • Represent Global Privacy Ops by proactively delivering data insights and trends to Legal, Policy, Product and other operational teams, in order to support privacy by design and drive operational policy
  • Perform product reviews from the lens of privacy operations to ensure the Community can be heard and prioritized
  • Develop and execute initiatives to improve the community’s interaction with the Facebook platform
  • Motivated by the opportunity to solve privacy challenges within a tech-operations environment
  • Passionate about helping people and maintaining trust in Facebook
  • Self-starter, intellectually curious and creative individual, who thrives in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • B.A. or B.S. degree and 4+ years of experience working in a legal and/or tech operations environment
  • Privacy Certification (CIPP) and/or 2+ years experience working in the privacy domain
  • Persuasive communication skills
  • Problem solving experience

  • Experience working cross-functionally
  • Experience acting independently across priorities and exercising judgment
  • Experience working with a team
  • Experience in legal operations for a tech company
  • Experience as a privacy paralegal, or data protection attorney
