Program Manager

LG produces high-quality in-car infotainment systems that deliver both information and entertainment on-the-go for many of the world’s biggest automobile brands.

We are currently seeking our newest innovator to join our dynamic team as a Program Manager.

Position Overview:

This job requires technical experiences related to building cutting-edge product and program management experiences. This position needs to have comfortable working with the manufacturing industry as well as high technology-driven products with LG and customers. This role is focused on managing a program and deeply involving technical requirements in the development as well as product launching. Customer communication and business negotiation to ensure strength and stability in the LG automotive business. This role is directly influencing the integration project across all LG and automotive manufactures and requires a confidant with identifying problems, communicating the concerns and driving for closure in order to deliver projects within the time frame with build trust while demonstrating excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Support to resolve both business, manufacturing, and technical issues
• Support to identify and manage all program risks, publish a weekly report
• Support cross-functional teams Validation, Manufacturing, procurement/Purchasing, Sales and Quality, customers
• Identify and manage all program risks during and after development
• Manage OEM customer relationship, develop and manage 3rd party relationship
• Resolving 3rd party related issues and manage Engineering Changes & 4M
• Communicate with LGE HQ cross-functional teams not limited to program
• Develop and manage program milestone (if necessary, multiple programs)
• Support Software & Hardware releases, sample management (international logistics) and lead the customer meetings

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years or equivalent experience in program management
• 2+ years or equivalent engineering experience with developing and/or testing an automotive component
• 5+ years or equivalent experience delivering high-quality products or services to automotive companies
• Knowledge or the ability of managing multiple technical projects simultaneously and delivering to agreed-upon cost, quality, and timing expectations
• Automotive materials or service new technologies to industry players
• The product life cycle from ideation to design to prototype to production
• Software development process (feasibility, design, implementation, integration, test, and support), preferably experience with complex systems
• Work across multiple disciplines (systems, embedded, server, wireless carriers, testing)
• Appropriate office software applications
• Passion for technology and problem solving
• Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
• Plan and coordinate teams of people
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with transparency being paramount
• Lead and manage engagements with customers (mostly internal), collaborators, and 3rd party software developers
• Desire to learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies
• Proven track record of working in and/or with distributed engineering teams, sales team, quality team, and customers
• Manage multiple technical projects (if necessary) simultaneously and delivering to agreed-upon cost, quality, and timing expectations
• Travel - 30% of travel (domestic and international)

Preferred:

• PMP certification
• Six sigma certification
• Bilingual in both English and Korean language
• Telematics modules and wireless technology products
• Managing technical teams building embedded system
