Job Description

We are looking for an experienced nonprofit Program Manager to organize and coordinate programs. You will guide in ways that promote the organization’s culture and mission. The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker and will have experience in working with national and international stakeholders in the areas of advocacy, education, and grant management. You will interface with key stakeholders and community partners, including subject matter experts, funders, community members, and leaders that are based locally and globally.

TMG will consider remote work from home candidates.

The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver a desirable outcome for our organization.

Duties of a Program Manager Include:

  • Formulating, organizing and monitoring inter-connected projects
  • Deciding on and implementing suitable strategies and objectives in conjunction with the Executive Director
  • Coordinating cross-project activities to ensure the goals of the program are met

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, organize and monitor projects and its stakeholders in conjunction with the Executive Director
  • Engage with key stakeholders (volunteers, community members, and funding entities, among others)
  • Decide on suitable strategies and objectives in conjunction with the Executive Director
  • Coordinate cross-project activities and liaise with key stakeholders
  • Implement, monitor and evaluate program activities
  • Develop and control deadlines, budgets, and activities
  • Assume responsibility for the program’s people and vendors
  • Compose and draft documents and correspondence for presentations, conferences, seminars, and reports
  • Resolve projects’ higher scope issues
  • Prepare reports for leadership

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position
  • Experience and knowledge working in patient advocacy and public health
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
