As a Program Manager for our Industrial Design Team at Verkada, you’ll partner closely with the design team and other parts of the organization to help us better harness the power of our award winning design team. You’ll maintain our workflow planning documentation, communicate timelines across the engineering organization, and work closely with designers to remove impediments and help us build beautiful products for Verkada’s customers. In this role, you’ll own the organization of the ID program, building systems that will enable our team to perform at the highest level.

As a Program Manager for our Industrial Design Team at Verkada, you’ll partner closely with the design team and other parts of the organization to help us better harness the power of our award winning design team. You’ll maintain our workflow planning documentation, communicate timelines across the engineering organization, and work closely with designers to remove impediments and help us build beautiful products for Verkada’s customers. In this role, you’ll own the organization of the ID program, building systems that will enable our team to perform at the highest level.
In this role you will:
- Act as a point of contact between our Industrial Design team and other parts of Verkada engineering organization, suppliers and vendors
- Facilitate product design lifecycle by working with design leadership to remove impediments, forecast project commitments and set realistic deadlines
- Assist with workflow management using software tools like Monday and Notion
- Monitor project timelines and communicate with internal creative, engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure deadlines are met
- Lead a wide variety of weekly meetings including vendor calls, internal team updates, and presentations with key leadership team members.
- Manage packaging logistics, communicating with suppliers in various time zones
- 5+ years of experience in program management, operations, or related field
- Proven track record of managing multiple cross-functional projects at any given time
- Ability to establish strong working relationships with design and technical leadership
- Understanding of fast-paced hardware development processes
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Understanding of design process and manufacturing development phases
- Negotiation skills (vendor pricing)
- A proven track record of working with new product development teams from concept to market launch
