JPMorgan Wholesale Payments is looking for a VP - Program Manager to support the Clearing Transformation Team in the execution of the ISO 20022 program. This role requires close partnering with the global & regional execution teams for the ISO 20022 program as well as a broad range of functional stakeholders globally. The objective of the role is to ensure overall success of the North America Region deliverables for the Global ISO Program.
Job Description:
As an experienced professional in PMO/Project Execution, you thrive at managing complex programs that have far-reaching implications for clients, employees and stakeholders throughout the firm. This role requires a strong grasp of the big-picture and ability to collaborate and synthesize across all program execution workstreams, while also maintaining the ability to drill into the granular details to solve challenging issues when necessary. As the Program Manager for the North America Region of the ISO program, you will ensure effective collaboration and delivery across all seven execution workstreams (Business Requirements, Data Architecture, Technology Delivery, Service & Operations, End-to-End Testing, Business Readiness, and Risk, Controls & Compliance). You'll work closely with colleagues across the firm to ensure successful execution of all facets of the program for your designated region deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of program across assigned region (North America), ensuring effective collaboration and alignment across the various execution workstreams.
- Maintain program governance calendar and ensure efficient and effective meetings including drafting agendas, preparing speakers and presentation material, taking meeting minutes, and tracking follow-ups
- Help define and maintain a master plan across all workstreams to ensure priorities and deliverables are in sync and progress remains on track
- Develop dashboards, briefings, and discussion materials for senior executives and stakeholders to provide transparency and facilitate decision-making (leveraging Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools)
- Ensure Risks and Issues log is maintained and effectively managed
- Monitor program health on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing issue resolution process and taking corrective action as necessary
- Take ownership for resolving critical issues that could impede program progress
- Help identify cross-impacts, dependencies, and impediments to progress and ensure they are addressed
- Accountable for providing Program level status to senior leadership
- Directs activities, monitors progress, and drives results for programs, projects, or initiatives that deliver solutions to complex business problems, including those that may require ongoing management.
- Ensures quality and timeliness of program completion.
- Plans, anticipates, and organizes complex program requirements, including delivery framework, stakeholder management, prioritization, direct and/or indirect management of other project managers and/or other resources, and management of related workstreams and steering committees.
Key Attributes/Qualifications:
The desired program manager candidate would have a background in program management, strong organizational, planning and communication skills, demonstrated execution skills with the ability to implement best practices and communicate both vertically and horizontally within the organization and firm-wide. The expectation is that the candidate would operate in a complex, fast-paced and fast-growing environment and be responsible for consistent execution of program deliverables. The candidate should also be able to work independently and take initiative to maintain and improve the program structure.
- Minimum 10 years' experience managing large-scale, global, complex programs with impacts that span across multiple functional areas
- Global Clearing and/or Payments expertise considered a significant plus
- Excellent communication, analytical and writing skills; can handle immense amounts of work and tight deadlines; able to develop strong client relationships; confident when working with professional services firms.
- Experience working with high-performing teams in complex program execution
- Self-starter able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and cross-functional environment that is results-driven
- Rigorous, logical thinker with ability to identify and articulate rationale, assumptions, and risks
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with ability to establish trust and credibility with stakeholders and partners

- Strong time-management, organizational skills, and attention to detail

- Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience and business needs to a technical audience
- Working understanding of SharePoint & Confluence
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of the ISO 20022 standard is a plus
- PMP certification required
- Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree in a business or technical field preferred
