Graphics is a central pillar of technology in gaming and the Microsoft Graphics team is looking for a Program Manager 2 to join our team to lead the development of Graphics solutions ensuring the Xbox and PC platforms are the best places to build and play games.
This person would need to be a motivated self-starter who thrives in a highly technical environment that can create a compelling product vision and delivery roadmap for DirectX, HLSL, and other leading graphics/display technologies core to providing our end-users the best possible gaming experience. They should feel comfortable working with internal/external teams (including Xbox, Windows, game developers, marketing, etc) to define product requirements, guide the effort through key development milestones, and maximize market impact through product evangelism upon delivery.
You don’t need to be a graphics expert to be a candidate for this position. However, to be successful, having a strong interest and willingness to gain deep subject matter expertise in various technology areas will be important, as will be growing the technical + communication leadership skills necessary to drive the definition, development, light up, and evangelism of graphics and display features on the latest gaming hardware.

Working with customers & partners, both internally and externally, to identify key asks/problems/opportunities for the team.
Ability to prioritize those asks and scope specific goals and requirements for each one, as well as define how success will be measured.
Understanding key business drivers for the team and being able to build alignment between customer asks and business priorities.
Supporting the engineering team during design, implementation, and testing, making sure results are met.QualificationsRequired Qualifications: 2+ years Program Management experience
BS or MS in EE or Computer Science or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Proven Program Management and leadership expertise
Great cross-group collaboration skills, and desire to help raise the effectiveness of the broader team- Proven ability to synthesize and communicate solutions to complex technical problems at both the engineering and executive level
- Experience leveraging customer data to draw insights, answer hard questions, and guide actions.
- Strong technical proficiency and a demonstrated ability to leverage software and hardware technical knowledge when required
- Experience designing, developing and shipping high quality OS platform features
- Experience with Xbox/Windows graphics APIs, hardware organization, and/or middleware
- Experience managing requirements and alignment across business and engineering teams
- Experience engaging with marketing and PR teams on go-to-market plans and product feature evangelism
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
