Duties and Responsibilities:
The Program Director maintains the day to day operation of the supportive living home and or apartments facility; conducts and/or reviews performance evaluations of staff in accordance with policy; monitors staff performance on regular basis and provides feedback; meets regularly with facility directors and staff; responsible for ensuring the group home is fully staffed and operational with staff and individuals; communicates regularly with the community; monitors equipment and supplies; reviews curriculum and service delivery model; evaluates individuals referred and receiving services; monitors implementation of programs; coordinates and monitors the documentation process; orientates, trains and supervisor care worker; prepares staffing reports; completes payroll and billing weekly; ensures implementation of Individual Service Plan; participates in Interdisciplinary Team meetings; assesses and evaluates individuals strengths and needs; advocates for individuals, make program modifications as needed; reviews, signs, and date program data collection process; coordinate all services offered to each individual; ensures individual exhibit signs of good personal hygiene; investigates individual and staff incidents and complete required documentation; ensures compliance with individuals' rights; ensures individual ratio is maintained as established by residence; participates in discharge planning; monitors behavioral management. The program director is required to be on call 24 hours a day to respond and deescalate any crisis. This position requires the successful completion of training/certification in CPR, first aid, behavior management, medication administration. The successful completion of criminal history and central registry background investigations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Possess strong supervision skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, community and staff; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; Investigative and interviewing skills; ability to analyze findings, multitask, identify problems and formulate solutions; knowledge of intellectual disabilities and related physical, health, and behavioral concerns; enjoys working with all people; possess caring and positive attitude; and experience working with adults with disabilities; experience in conducting a comprehensive assessment and knowledge of assessments tools. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with two years of experience in the human services field/or personal experience with intellectual disabilities, in lieu of degree 5 years of experience in evaluating and assessing, interdisciplinary and person-center approach, and ID waiver and 5 years of supervisory experience at least 5 or more years experience of which shall have been in a residential facility working with the mentally disabled. Program director must serve as QIDP and must also possess valid driver’s license. This position requires the successful completion of training/certification in CPR, first aid, behavior management, medication administration. The successful completion of criminal history and central registry background investigations.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
