Job Description
Position PurposeThe Program Coordinator position works with the Outdoor Program Office’s and Student Life’s core management staff to facilitate and promote the use of outdoor informal and programmatic student gathering spaces across Dartmouth’s campus, primarily managing and facilitating the use of an outdoor ice rink. The position has operational responsibilities that support the mission of Student Life and other campus life spaces by supervising student employees; responding to student community needs; and ensuring the safety of all student and staff guests of the associated spaces. Desired work schedule: Wednesday-Sunday 12:30pm-8:30pm

Key AccountabilitiesFacility Operations 40%
- Serves as an administrative liaison with users of the associated campus spaces, primarily the ice skating rinks located on central campus.
- Assists in facility management and operations, including coordination of a skate rental program.
- In collaboration with other OPO and Student Life staff, coordinates facility maintenance through building positive relationships with all support staff, including custodial staff, FO&M, etc.
- Holds students and guests accountable for their behavior and reports inappropriate behavior to campus Safety and Security.
- Holds students accountable for their behavior regarding COVID protocols and reports inappropriate behavior through appropriate channels
Staff Supervision & Development 40%
- Supervises and evaluates the student employees reporting to this position
- Assists in hiring of student employees as needed
- Assists in the creation of a comprehensive and educational training for student employees
- Serves as a support system and advisor for student employees
- Attends weekly student employee meetings
Reporting 20%
- Completes all reports, documentation, and logs in a timely and accurate manner
- Keeps the appropriate staff informed of any operational concerns or issues
- Attends weekly professional staff meetings
