The Pediatric Physicians’ Organization at Children’s (PPOC) is a member-driven organization devoted exclusively to pediatric primary care and distinguished by its close relationship with Boston Children’s Hospital and its pediatric sub-specialists. The program coordinator will support activities related to business health and operations at our community-based practices.

The PPOC Program Coordinator II will be responsible for:

• Coordinating activities and daily operations of the Practice Management and Contract Services programs.
• Working closely with program management, payer relations, credentialing staff and others.
• Assisting in the development of new or revision of program goals and objectives.
• Working independently and within the team.
• Conferring with and advising staff and others to provide technical advice, problem solving assistance, answers to questions and program goals; referring to appropriate department person when unable to respond.
• Preparing periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agencies.
• May evaluate program effectiveness to develop improved methods.
• May review applications or other program documents independently or in conjunction with supervisor to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to program.
• Assisting with written communication and promotional literature.
• May plan workshops, meetings or conferences, coordinates logistics, scheduling and participant communications.
• Interacting and maintaining liaison with staff, faculty and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.

To qualify, you must have:

• An Associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
• The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.

Please note: During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.
