Program Assistant Vocational

TITLE: Program Assistant for Vocational - Methuen High School

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  Program assistant training, experience, or equivalent is desired.
• Must be capable of using good judgment in working with special needs students and the instructional staff assigned to the program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist students with significant, intensive special needs throughout the day in class, lunch, and movement throughout the building at all times in a substantially separate setting (SP/Vocational), maintain very close proximity with students, implement behavior plans when needed, data collection when needed, close monitoring of students throughout the day across all settings, provide academic support as needed, toileting assistance, monitoring for attention, work completion and social navigation; must be very comfortable with using assistive technology including ipad and various apps; support students academically and behaviorally within the classroom setting; will need to provide direct supervision of students during less structured periods of the school day; assist students during community outings and assist students on vocational sites. Hours: 7:15-1:45. Other duties as assigned by administration.
