Responsible for leading the production at a rapidly growing construction products manufacturing and prefabrication plant.

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)- Provides shift supervision and leadership for the assembly/manufacturing team members.
- Leads production team members with an intense focus on safety and quality while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and internal company policies.
- Motivates and mentors the production team in order to achieve production efficiencies.
- Assists in the creation of production schedules and workflow management.
- Develops work instructions and cross-training plans.
- Provides on-the-job training and leads by example.
- Drives the continuous improvement of plant KPIs (Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Cost)
- Adjusts schedules and workload balance as required by the operation.
- Monitors supply inventory levels, coordinates with others when reordering is necessary.
- Utilizes lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish production goals.
- Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- All other duties as assigned
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and successfully lead other team members.
- Shown ability to lead a successful and engaged production team.
- Ability to build high performing teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a self-directed manner.
- Experience with operational excellence tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S
- Proven problem solving and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and communication skills to work across functional and organizational lines.
- Be self-motivated, take ownership of the position, and have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision.
- Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required, Technical degree is a plus
- 3+ years’ experience as a proven production leader in managing, motivating, and building a team
This position requires the following with or without an accommodation; sitting, walking, standing, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, hearing, visual acuity, and utilization of a computer and office equipment. This person must be physically capable of reviewing a jobsite multiple times daily. The working environments consist of exposure to dirt, heat, noise, dust, and outdoor weather; as well as indoor and climate-controlled settings.
