Production Supervisor oversees the set-up of calibration testing and troubleshooting of instruments and mechanical assemblies. He/ she determines and may assign a person to assist developing test methods and procedures from blueprints drawings and diagrams. They oversee, test, and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems and may rework assemblies and/or systems for testing. Production Supervisor could provide data for technical reports summarizing findings and may recommending solutions to technical problems. The Production Supervisor may assist in the building and set-up of specialized test equipment. They will also have input to reviews hiring practices.
Job Duties- Contribute to the development of concepts and techniques.
- Completes complex tasks in creative and effective ways.
- Consistently overseeing works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues and makes recommendations on procedures.
- Supervise all areas and determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Often acts as a facilitator.
- Support the Lean Sigma strategy for continuous improvement Supervisor the Manufacturing personnel.
- Will maintain high level of trouble shooting ability and working with the R&D and Production Engineering Recording Data as needed Help maintain time cards for personnel when management is not in the office.
- Support company policies and procedures Meet productions schedules and product compliances to specifications.
- This position acts as the liaison to Manufacturing Production Engineering Corporate Quality Supply Chain and Engineering on issues related to manufacturing.
- Evaluation of performance will be based on ability to: Meeting schedule commitments and task completion dates Maintain a high quality of work.
- Develop skills with personnel in the area Interact and work with other employees and departments.
- Anticipate and react to changing conditions that require decisions action and/or problem solving activities.
- Support 5S Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
- Leader ship skills as a Supervisor Effectiveness of training personnel to trouble shooting.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Education or GED is required.
- Vocational training a plus and/or on-the-job training.
- Minimum of 1 year of group leader experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
