Our location in Altavista VA currently has an opportunity for a Production Specialist. This site is Abbott’s largest Nutrition manufacturing plant in the world. But working here, you’ll feel part of a family – a family of 650+ that works together to help nourish the world.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Safely operate both complex and standard high-speed production equipment that makes our industry-leading nutrition products

• Maintain inventory of packaging materials

• Complete workorder documentation

• Perform quality checks

• Clean equipment and the production environment

• Troubleshoot equipment issues

• Accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING

Required

• High school diploma or GED

• 6 months or more of prior manufacturing experience

• Good written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to multitask

Preferred

• Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals

• Experience with tools and equipment related to the position or experience as a Sr. Production Equipment Operator is desired
