Production & Sourcing Manager

Long Island/NYC Outerwear and Sportswear Company seeking an experienced Production & Sourcing Manager.
Seeking an individual to lead the production division and work closely with the design team and sales team.
Experience in knowledge of specing garments would be an advantage.
Must have knowledge of Fabrics specially knit.
To lead and enhance the workflow from development to production and delivery.
Individual must have strong management and communication skills and experience in men’s fashion.
Position will be in person in the five boroughs area of NY.
Responsibilities:

• 
  Manage all incoming production samples and prototypes and monitoring timely arrival of production shipments from Overseas.

• 
  Working with team to ensure proper time and action of development and production samples that are executed correctly and within timelines and keeping teams always updated.
• 
  All technical comments and changes to be communicated to vendors / offshore office and ensuring all changes are incorporated
• 
  Fabric approvals
• 
  lab dip approvals
• 
  Provide trim pack to ftys & review all trims and give comments / approvals
• 
  Have knowledge about Lab testing
• 
  Review Buyer Routing guides and ensure guidelines are followed
• 
  Issue PO to vendors
• 
  Creating, updating, and managing cost sheets
• 
  Tracking and updating Production Flow charts daily
• 
  Daily production needs that comes up on day-to-day basis
• 
  Daily calls to vendors / buying office to troubleshoot production and delivery issues
• 
  Sourcing skill to negotiate costs and knowledge about fabrics and processes.

• 
  Bringing New Vendors to the table with competitive price points

Requirements:

• 
  Must have reliable transportation

• 
  Minimum 5 years’ experience in Fashion and Apparel industry
• 
  Self-Motivated, Highly Organized.
• 
  Microsoft Excel experience required. Must be able to process and create charts

• 
  Work on ERP system
