We are looking for Production Machine Operators to operate out of our Visalia facility.
Job SummaryThe Converting Production Machine Operator is expected to safely and efficiently stage necessary material for the converting operation; perform machine set-up and operate the converting line to produce finished product that meet or exceed all manufacturing and quality standards. The operator may need to assist on or operate other Converting equipment, assist on the extrusion lines, or in the shipping area.

The operator may need to assist on or operate other Converting equipment, assist on the extrusion lines, or in the shipping area.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Load WIP rolls of material on to the unwinds
- Set up the machine for various products.
- Safely and efficiently produce converted product to the required specifications.
- Remove excess trim scrap and throw away in compactor or place in recycling area.
- Meet or exceed production quantity and quality standards.
- Perform quality checks.
- Operate the band saw safely and efficiently.
- Relocate the finished pallet to the designated storage area.
- Work up to a 12 hour shift as needed
- Read Shop Floor orders written in English.
- Read accurately up to 1/32” on a measuring device like a tape measure.
- Keep work area clean per 5S guidelines
- Keep all tools and equipment in proper places.
- Enter production and quality check data electronically on a computer.
- Assist on or operate other converting or manufacturing equipment and perform preventative maintenance on the laminator as required.
- Track production data as required.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing or Quality environment preferred
- Working Conditions: Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 50 pounds and endure elevated temperature levels.
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a focus on quality
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to understand detailed written and/or oral instructions including basic mathematical skills
- Education: High School Diploma or credentialed equivalent in English & Mathematics.
- 2nd Shift Availability:
- Overtime requirements: Overtime as needed daily or weekends based upon business needs
- Additional auxiliary equipment: Possess or learn the ability to operate Forklift, Cranes, Floor Jacks, Saws, Knives (other hand tools).
- Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
