Production Lead

PURPOSE OF JOB

Lead a team to safely build a quality and cost effective product, on time, to customer demands. Perform productions duties and responsibilities and effectively manage all operational processes. Execute daily operational routines to support success of company goals and objectives. Assistant and support Supervisors in the execution of coaching, engagement and development of employees. Effectively communicate and support decisions that impact the respective work area. Demonstrate professionalism and leadership in all interactions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

· Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated shift

· Ensure security of facilities during designated shift hours

· Enforce all safety and processing procedures

· Enable effective communications between management and operators

· Train new employees and coach existing employees

· Maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance with 5S protocol

· Investigate and report all incidents (spills, accidents, poor performance, etc.)

· Investigate and report any quality issues (lock alignment, glass offset, etc.)

· Suggest and implement cost-saving\ continuous improvement ideas

· Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE

· 2 years’ experience in manufacturing or construction experience preferred

· 1 year experience in a leadership type role required

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

· Ability to motivate others to meet demands established by the schedule

· Intimate operating knowledge of all available processing equipment and processes

· Ability to identify and solve problems under pressure

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

· Ability to bend, twist, squat, reaches, grasp, stand, walk and perform fine manipulation with fingers

· Lift/carry up to 50 pounds alone and up to 100 pounds with assistance

· Exposed to excessive noise, dust, fumes or chemicals on the shop floor

· Intermittently exposed to inclement weather

· Work overtime as needed

· Working in various departments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
