POSITION SUMMARY:

The Coatings Production Technician will perform daily manufacturing operations for coatings products in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO requirements, and appropriate regulatory agencies. This is an entry level role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace environment
  • Manufacture coating products according to specifications and production BPRs and SOPs
  • Complete all assigned lab and non-lab related tasks
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices
  • Review and follow the established production schedule to ensure fulfillment of customer orders
  • Remain current on all assigned training requirements
  • Communicate any raw material or equipment shortages
  • Communicate any equipment or calibration issues
  • Provide suggestions on process improvements
  • Provide feedback on any required BPRs and SOPs updates to improve clarity

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/biology/related science or similar work experience.
  • Ability to operate in a cleanroom and laboratory environment.
  • Strong focus on safety and customer service.
  • Self-starter, organized.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow written procedures.
  • Computer literate, Microsoft Office package, email, internet, spreadsheets.
  • Ability to operate in a small company environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Physical Requirements

Physical Demands-Stooping, turning, bending, squatting, kneeling and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds; constant/repetitive standing; requires normal, correctable vision and hearing, and the ability to accurately discern color as necessary to perform job functions.

Working Conditions

Exposure to hazardous chemicals and must wear required personal protective equipment while demonstrating safe working practices.
