Our core values and well-defined culture are evident in daily life at HuFriedyGroup and continue to shape the success of our business.About the role: Based at our Stratford, CT you will perform a variety of production and distribution responsibilities based on business needs, including general production and distribution responsibilities.What you will do: Principal Accountabilities
  • Production - perform a variety of tasks within the production area.
  • Gathers materials needed for production i.e. material handling*
  • Re-labels and packages products*
  • Assembles components per BOM and instructions to create a product*
  • Completes required production documentation and sign offs*
  • Organizes products for storage (skids, shrink wrap, etc.)
  • General maintenance & clean-up for buildings
  • Review products when packaging for non-conformance*
Distribution - perform a variety of tasks within the distribution operations including but not limited to: packaging of finished goods, quality control, and picking and packing.
  • Pick and pack products for shipping to customers*
  • In-process quality control*
  • Load and unload trucks for incoming and outgoing*
  • Operate SAP computer system, including ShipERP modules*
  • Freight outgoing orders and documentation
  • General warehouse(s) maintenance and cleanup*
  • Cycle counting and annual Inventory counting
  • Works to ISO standards*
  • Completes other duties as assigned
What we are looking for: This position requires an individual with:
  • High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of basic math
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good communication skills (oral, writing and reading)
  • 3-5 years prior experience in a production, distribution or packaging center
  • DGI (HazMat) training
  • Forklift Operator certification, experience or ability to be trained to safely operate
