SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists operations in compiling production records and data, reporting volume of production and consumption of labor/raw materials, coordinating work schedules, maintaining time and attendance, and other duties as required to optimize efficiency and maintain high quality of work standards on the production floor.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
- Obey GMP's and PPE's for production areas.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compiles production records and data, reporting volume of production, labor distribution, raw material consumption/auditing scheduling / KPI reporting plus other duties.
- Coordinates and monitors manufacturing crew schedules and assists supervisors with maintaining employee time and attendance.
- Performs audits of manufacturing process to ensure compliance to safety programs, manufacturing specifications and quality standards.
- Assists with and coordinates training activities.
- Participates in special projects based on departmental needs.
- Recommends measures to improve performance and quality.
- Works with temporary agencies on labor request.
- Monitors and tracks employee clock punches and communicates discrepancies.
- May, in times, need to assist other departments on paperwork distribution and any other issues that arise.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of operating systems such as MS Office including the ability to build and maintain graphs in Excel. Understanding of FLEX Process, labor databases and Traffic.
- Previous experience or general knowledge of raw material flow/consumption preferred.
- Ability to work in a team environment, and understands how actions influence others.
- Capable of maintaining job-related confidential information.
- Able to recognize a variety of issues, problems and opportunities independently, and determine what action is needed.
- Integrates information from a variety of sources; detects general trends, associations and cause-effect relationships.
- Formulates clear decision criteria; evaluates options by considering short and long-term implications and consequences, and chooses effective option.
- Includes work group members, direct supervisor, and occasionally member of other work groups in the decision-making process as warranted.
- Implements decisions or initiates action within a reasonable time.
- Attention to detail sufficient to perform basic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- Writing ability sufficient to legibly record basic information (filling out forms, taking messages).
- Reading ability sufficient to understand moderately complex information (instruction manuals, procedural manuals, manufacturing specifications).
- Ability to read/write/speak English required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
