In this role you will:
- Manipulate empty packaging into position onto the production line.
- Assist when asked to operate controls to fill packaging to the required level.
- Ensure that the quality of the packaging is free from defects and meet company standards.
- Manipulate and ensure full packaging is sealed correctly with no leaks.
- May apply labels by hand and/or through a labeling machine.
- Ensure labels are adhered to packaging straight and without air bubbles.
- Ensure lot and date code printer are working properly and that codes are legible and accurate.
- Place filled, sealed product into case boxes.
- Fill cases with the required quantity with the correct product.
- Ensure broken or defective product does not make it into finished case boxes.
- Ensure the correct lot and date codes are on all finished products.
- Secure finished goods in case box. Ensure case box is taped tightly securing the finished goods inside the box.
- Ensure pallets are safe for use, free of any defects and are correct size and type.
- Place boxes in neat stacks on pallets using pre-determined patterns and counts.
- Ensure broken or defective boxes of products do not make it on finished pallets.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by ensuring all material spilled on, under, or around production equipment and workspaces is cleaned during down-time and at the end of each day.
- Clean, rinse and sterilize equipment prior to each new batch and end of shift per S.O.P’s.
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees to adopt safety as a culture.
