Production Assembler

POSITION SUMMARY:

In support of the mission statement of Brenner-Fiedler & Associates Inc., the Production Operator, under the direction of the Production Manager and Production Lead assembles customer assemblies/builds and assists in the Shipping and Receiving Department as needed.

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

The Production Operator assembles production items according to customer assemblies and builds instructions. The Production Operator is responsible for reviewing the travelers associated with the assembly or build to ensure accuracy of record keeping and determine daily priorities and allocation of resources.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for knowledge and compliance of Quality policy, and processes pertaining to production. (Control of Documents, Production Control, Receiving, Final Inspection, Non-Conformance Product, Corrective Action, and Preventive Action)
• Assemble Brenner-Fiedler custom builds. Confirm proper revisions, assembly instructions, and products are used.
• Use, initial, and date Process Traveler to follow through the progress of each build.
• Ensure that parts are free from damage prior to use. Red tag any parts immediately if they are non-conforming or damaged. Notify Production Manager immediately.
• Perform inspection on units assembled by others as required.
• Apply labels as required and package units as instructed.
• When order is complete, count the units and verify that the quantity on the Production order matches the Pick Ticket.
• Assist in maintenance of a clean and clutter free production environment. Ensure work areas are clean daily.
• Perform other duties as necessary or as requested
• Know and understand the Electrical Safety Policy and Procedure.
• Attend and participate all meetings and trainings as required of employees
• Attend and participate in OSHA safety training

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong interpersonal, motivational and leadership skills
• Attention to detail and understand assembly concept
• 1-2 years experience in industry-related field preferred

• Electrical and mechanical understanding and experience is highly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to communicate tactfully with fellow employees, customers and suppliers.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work to successfully meet established timelines
• Ability to understand and carry out both oral and written instructions in an independent manner.
• Ability to define problems, to collect data, to establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Essential functions are performed both in office and warehouse environment, occasionally in the field. Functions may require using office equipment and mobile equipment. The employee may be required to lift up to 50 lbs.

Brenner-Fiedler will provide equipment, tools, painting and cutting machinery, forklift, and workspace.
