Job Description
This person will assemble fabricated parts, components or units at floor stations. Prepares parts for testing, tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Performs complex machine set up. Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary. Responsible for proposing measures to increase productivity and efficiency.

Detailed Description

  • Assembles materials from individual components using detailed written or verbal instructions.
  • Performs simple screening, bagging, boxing, or cutting operations.
  • Uses a variety of hand tools, and tests and cleans equipment.
  • Inspects and tests work for quality, resolves simple problems, recognizes errors, and corrects or seeks guidance.
  • Follows established safety regulations.
  • Reads and understands technical drawings, work orders, and specifications to determine sequence of operations, materials required, and procedures needed.
  • Cleans, prepares, and stages job materials for production according to procedure.
  • Ensures quality assurance by inspecting final product to ensure specifications are met.
  • Performs and logs scheduled preventative maintenance of production equipment.
  • Maintains appropriate forms showing work completed and materials used.
  • Follows provided production schedules and ensures proper workflow.


Job Requirements


EXPERIENCE:

1 year required, 2 years preferred of knowledge and experience within a Production environment.


EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or Equivalent experience required. Associate’s degree preferred.


SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

Requires basic knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, process documents, and other visual aids.

Attention to detail

General knowledge of screening making equipment and techniques.

Basic knowledge of printing materials.

Ability to precisely measure.

Ability to Identify a problem and all relevant issues, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions

Ability to communicate information that requires some explanation or interpretation

Ability to work within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision


WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Warehouse – Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderately quiet. Generally well ventilated and well lighted. Warehouse employees may be exposed to all kinds of weather and may be required to wear protective clothing. Operates heavy equipment. Strict safety regulations may be required.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work is physically strenuous and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds.

Work may require excessive bending or stooping.

Employee required to walk long distances repeatedly throughout the day.

Employee required to use hand tools.


MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employee required to calibrate precise measurements.

Employee required to problem-solve.
