Job Description

Job Summary:

The Consumer Product/Brand Manager is responsible for driving the development and execution of the commercial marketing strategy by the collaboration with cross functional teams, the field sales team and other relevant stakeholders in the development and execution of the strategic upstream / downstream plan is critical to succeed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end commercial success of consumer product launches, including insight gathering, competitive assessment, definition of product requirements, and represent commercial on product core teams including product documentation, packaging, and forecasting.
  • Lead segmentation, targeting positioning, marketing plan development, claims and naming.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategy for needed stakeholders, including consumers, healthcare providers, distributors, retailers, mail order, etc.
  • Partner closely with Reimbursement and Payer Relations to ensure appropriate coverage, coding, payment and affordable consumer out-of-pocket.
  • Manage product lifecycle through research, feedback and partnership with Customer Service.
  • Support upstream product definition as needed.
  • Coordinate project assignments and communication across Marketing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory departments.
  • Perform special projects within the Product Management function to support overall advancement of Masimo.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, product management, or technical role.
  • Results-oriented and positive "can do" attitude with a sense of urgency to get things done.
  • Proven experience in consumer packaged goods, consumer-facing medical devices and regulated devices.
  • Proven experience partnering with Creative Agencies.
  • Must be detail-oriented and flexible.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Proficient in content management and document control systems, such as Microsoft SharePoint and Oracle Agile PLM.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working within a medical devices or life sciences company.
  • Prior experience with engineering or marketing teams.
  • Strong familiarity with product development lifecycle.
  • Comfortable with the FDA and international medical device regulatory processes.
  • Proficient in desktop publishing programs such as Adobe InDesign.
  • Proficient in CRM software such as Salesforce.com.
  • Prior experience with data analysis and business intelligence programs

Education:

Bachelor degree in Engineering and/or Lifesciences. MBA preferred.

Physical requirements/Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required. Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required. Some travel to Mexico is also required, so the ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport is required.
