General Responsibilities

The Product Specialist will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Risk and Fraud Products which include an array of products from authentication to prevention and detection of fraud. The Product Specialist is responsible for evaluating and analyzing potential opportunities that could pave the way for new features and enhancements to the assigned products. Main responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with business, operations, and technical teams to discuss, analyze, and refine ideas and requirements for enhancements and functionalities. Ensure they are thoroughly researched, analyzed, and documented.
  • Build technical and business requirements for new features and enhancements to ensure they are developed and implemented quickly and effectively, managing technology and internal stakeholders
  • Assist management in the definition and execution of product's strategy and roadmap.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional groups to ensure alignment between product vision and strategy, sales, business, technical and operations teams and ensure successful execution and delivery of initiatives and projects.
  • Gathering and preparing business documentation such as Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and provide input on Client Product and Service Proposals, among others.
  • Manage all aspects of product for assigned initiatives including technical, infrastructure, business, operations, financial, legal, compliance and other topics.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to design all test cases and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts.
  • Manage the financial aspects of specific initiatives or topics, including monitoring the profitability, preparing P&L statements, business cases, budget projections, forecasts, etc.
  • Monitor product's KPIs and metrics and effectively communicate them to management.
  • Lead functional design reviews with Development and Management teams and validate resource estimates and resources plans for systems and solutions development.
  • Develop and maintain internal/external product documentation up to date (product guides, presentations, manuals, training materials, manuals, bulletins, etc.) and ensure operational processes are in place to support product.
  • Work on the financial aspects of current and future risk and fraud products, including the analysis of product's profitability, assisting in the preparation of business cases and profit-loss projections.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to identify best partners for potential opportunities and manage relationship, negotiation, legal, compliance and commercial aspects.
  • Meet regularly with clients to receive product feedback, gather market intelligence, and identify needs and improvements.
  • Domain the supported products and their impact to upstream/downstream impact to the organization identifying efficiencies in the service, support, and delivery processes.

Performs duties through methods and actions that are consistently ethical and in total compliance with the laws, applicable regulations, Code of Ethics, corporate policies and guidelines and rules of conduct. Completes corporate trainings and certifications intended for the detection and prevention of money laundering related activities and fraud, insider training and conflict of interest policies and procedures, as applicable.

Education and Experience Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Business Administration, Finance or related from an accredited institution is required. Minimum three years of experience in product management, software development, project management and/or business analysis. Previous finance experience (P&L statement, business case, profitability, KPIs, budgeting, among others.) Extensive background working in payments industry and/or cloud computing is preferred. Experience with fraud prevention applications and/or systems for financial risk management, including predictive analysis, used in payment processing and/or financial industry.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Domain of Productivity Software Applications such as Microsoft Office is required.
  • Background or experience working with cloud computing services such as Microsoft Azure or AWS is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile principles and/or Hybrid methodologies.
  • Knowledge of project management tools like JIRA, Microsoft DevOps, among others.
  • Proficient with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, or others.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence programming languages (python, R, Java, C++), Neural Network Architectures, Signal Processing Techniques and/or Applied Math and Algorithms.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in both Spanish & English.
  • Strong analytical skills. Able to analyze and interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, recommend action plans, and implement solutions to resolve issues.
  • Ability to memorize details, figures and important facts regarding the product and its specifications. * Current with industry trends and market leader's product offering.
  • Proven ability to respond to and prioritize changing demands effectively.
  • Team player - always willing to roll-up sleeves, tackle things hands-on and figure things out with little help or direction.

Monday to Friday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Available to work extended hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed and the availability to travel as required supporting projects in the region.
