As a Product Operations Manager within the Global Supply Chain NPI organization at Micron Technology, Inc. you will be responsible for representing the end to end value chain in defining and driving successful planning and execution of the early lifecycle phases of new products. This role is responsible for driving predictable manufacturing readiness across the value chain by collaborating with Business Units, R&D, Product Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders to orchestrate and deliver a plan that Supply Chain and Manufacturing can execute.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Be the program Operations liaison in core Product Development Teams (PDT’s) driving all Operations Requirements (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Compliance, Logistics) and representing Operations in executive reporting forums.
- Engage early in the PLM planning phase to identify value chain and manufacturing-related gaps.
- Facilitate BOM Risk Review, assess sourcing strategies, and provide Operations Risk Assessments.
- Hold process stakeholders accountable to required deliverables and milestones.
- Accountable for capacity and materials planning to support NPI programs into early high-volume manufacturing (HVM).
- Ensure procured materials and end product meets regulatory compliance.
- Assess enterprise system solutions and master data for gaps to support new products; coordinate solutions and report status.
- Oversee operational readiness of the value chain and host NPI Operations Alignment forums.
- Plan program silicon requirements, drive Supply/Demand match through Front-end and Back-end Build Plan to support samples, seed-stock and early HVM ramp, and host Samples Planning forums.
- Develop and report performance metrics for continuous improvement; drive documentation and business process improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence others using a variety of approaches with or without positional authority, and to help team members harness and develop strengths in pursuit of successful outcomes.
- Experience leading large-scale projects or programs, working with metrics & analytics, and leading process improvements.
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts
- Knowledge of electronic commodities, semiconductor processes, supply chain, S&OP, procurement, and compliance processes.
- Knowledge and experience with product bill of materials and operations data structures and systems, including ERP systems, manufacturing execution systems, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft tools, demonstrating advanced excel skills.
- Understanding of program management best practices; PMP Certification a plus.
- Ability to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks that are required to lead change.
- Ability to translate broad or general concepts into tangible deliverables.
- Ability to make independent decisions; able to assume leadership responsibilities.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Possesses financial acumen.
- Comfort in dealing with ambiguity.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to break down large concepts into small deliverable while not losing sight of the overall strategy.
- Ability and willingness to travel, both domestic and international, as needed to support job scope.
EDUCATION
B.S. degree in a relevant discipline such as: Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
