Job Description

This job requires an individual with Product management skills in MEO VSAT networks with focus on the SLA and customer satisfaction aspects to assure growth in MEO segment of Company business. This individual must be able to establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Position requires skills and knowledge to define, productize, and manage MEO solutions, KPIs such as quality of service and SLAs throughout their lifecycle; also requires deep technical knowledge in remote stabilized VSAT (MEO experience is the preference) and basic IP networking and SD-WAN experience (junior engineer level). Must demonstrate the ability to coordinate and organize programs across multiple locations and teams globally. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a manner understandable to both technical and non-technical recipients. Individual must be highly motivated to succeed and have experience developing and executing strategies without a high degree of supervision and show leadership.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contribute to meeting or exceeding the MS-MEO financial targets and growth metrics for Orders, Revenue delivery and EBITDA.
Work closely with the sales team globally to address the needs of the customers and propose suitable solution which meets Company Quality standards, Engineering recommendations, SLA.
Assists Solutions Engineering with developing responses to customer’s RFI/RFP or tenders and in architecting solutions that address the needs of our customers, including assisting with the development of business cases and financial assessments.
Work closely with Sales and Marketing product collateral development; owns vendor cost including remote ground segment BOM and provides cost to Solutions Engineering (SE).
Provide trainings on MEO solutions and technologies to RigNet sales, engineering, operations and support staffs, as well as arrange periodical meetings with key suppliers and vendors.
Work closely with Project Management Organization (PMO) and Global Engineering (GE) to ensure end-to-end solution is designed, implemented, properly documented, and successfully handed over into production.
Assist PMO with the successful delivery of each MEO project within timescale and to budget ensuring that all agreed customer requirements are met
Manage Product components through their lifecycle (EOL, new components, features)

Includes travel for customer meetings, industry conferences, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in VSAT networks, preferably MEO.
  • strong knowledge in stabilized remote VSAT activation/maintenance
  • basic IP networking skills
  • Minimum 1-year experience of being engaged with MEO projects.
  • Experience of an Operational environment preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • SD-WAN experience is a substantial plus.

Description: This position requires a moderate amount of stamina with the ability to perform the above essential job functions and within timetables. Some additional work in excess of normal business hours may be required.
Lifting: The employee must be able to lift up to 5 lbs. frequently and up to 15 lbs. occasionally for short durations.
Carrying: The employee must be able to carry up to 5 lbs. frequently and up to 15 lbs occasionally for short distances.
Pushing/Pulling: The employee must be able to push/pull up to 5 lbs. frequently and up to 15 lbs. occasionally usually from desk level to floor or floor to desk level.
Other Physical Requirements: Upper extremity usage, motor coordination, range of motion, vision, hearing and balance should be in a range to safely preclude the harm or injury to the employee in this position or the harm or injury to other employees.
Environmental Considerations: The employee will in most cases work in an office building; however, may be exposed to dust, fumes or gases and to changes of weather when exposed to outdoors at job sites or other locations.
