Product Manager, Medical Network
Position Overview
The Medical Network API Developer Platform product manager is responsible for working with internal and external customers to drive adoption of Medical Network API products. The candidate will look for opportunities to enhance the API developer experience and identify new strategies for engaging with our partner developers and ensuring their success. The candidate will be highly focused on customer engagement through meetings and presentations and will serve as a subject matter expert to sales, account management, and other organizations.
Additionally, the product manager will be responsible for “evangelizing” Medical Network APIs internally and externally and for working with teams across Change Healthcare to ensure successful launches of new features. They will also provide input regarding the product roadmap and product features and functions.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
- Translate business, market, and customer needs (collaborating with the Business Leads) into product strategy and requirements (e.g., functional and technical design documents).
- Present solutions to customers and provide subject matter expertise for customers before and after the sale.
- Work with customers to ensure they are successful in maximizing the use of Medical Network APIs
- Create customer-facing training collateral and participate in customer community activities
- Assist with implementation activities as needed.
- Work closely with sales and account management to educate potential customers on product offering and aid with customer on-boarding
- Provide product feedback to other product managers and R&D.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
- Minimum 3 years of experience is required in the field of software development, product management or related experience.
- A bachelor's degree , preferably in engineering, information technology, or equivalent work experience. A masters in information technology or business administration is preferred but not required.
What critical skills are needed for you to consider someone for this position?
- Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle is strongly desired
- Experience with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
- Experience in discussing and explaining complex product offerings to a variety of audiences.
- Able to learn complex concepts quickly
- Comfortable working in an agile and dynamic environment
- Familiarity with agile development concepts
- Must demonstrate a strong ability to drive execution of complex and enterprise level technology solutions (e.g., move projects forward with unknowns and anticipate and mitigate risks.)
How much should I expect to travel?
- 25%
