Marketing Strategy and Tactical Execution
- Develop and drive implementation of marketing strategy to achieve win targets and business unit revenue targets
- Ensure full understanding and stay abreast of small molecule outsourcing trends, customer needs, and competitive environment; develop appropriate product positioning, key benefits, and customer targets.
- Partner with Central Marketing team to create effective marketing tactics to support the marketing strategy, lead generation and increase awareness for Rx Oral offerings, through trade shows, customer events, digital campaigns (webinars, eblasts, social media) and print, PR etc.
- Work with Science & Technology and external partners to expand and repurpose expert content library, including case studies, white papers, articles, and interviews
- Work closely with Business Development to ensure awareness of the marketing plan, and gather input to develop effective sales aids. Ensure adoption and proper usage of the sales aids.
- Ensure accuracy, upkeep and improve quality of web content on a continual basis
- Establish cadence and provide screening guidance on molecule and/or technology-specific targeting campaigns, including authoring marketing messages for campaigns
- Create training materials for new offering introductions
- Manage assigned marketing budget and ensure spending according to plan.
Market and Competitive Analysis
- Analyze the market trends, customers, and competitive environment on a continual basis, partnering with the Product Manager, Competitive Intelligence, and establish cadence for reporting to the upper management;
- Participate in the annual strategic plan process and support market landscaping and data generation and analysis for strategic planning
- Work with available data sources for market analysis, including syndicated databased such as IMS and PhAST, and other secondary market reports.
- Participate in meetings to obtain customer insights
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Requires a Master’s degree in Business Analytics or Related Field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience in the Related Occupation.

- Performing Data Mining to examine large sets of data and determine patterns, anomalies, and correlations;
- Analyzing market size, trend, competitor, consumer sentiment, spending habit, buying power, sales opportunity, and cost structure data for each of the eighty (80) markets that the company currently serves;
- Classifying data based on product categories, ingredients, dosage forms, pricing models, etc.;
- Cleaning data to remove duplicate, misleading, and irrelevant data points;
- Examining data from previous years to determine volume sales and conclude whether demand rose and by how much;
- Identifying peaks in demand for particular products;
- Identifying specific pricing models through analysis of profitability, Point of Sale data, retail margins, and costs of goods vs manufacturing costs;
- Identifying specific ingredients with upward trajectory numbers based on analysis of previous year and new product launch data;
- Analyzing competitor new launches and consumer reactions;
- Examining retail data from multiple industry platforms including IMS Health, Euromonitor, and IRI to assess how much of the market share is available (i.e. for dose products vs other dosage forms);
- Forecasting contract potential in dollar value and volume for each analyzed region;
- Analyzing consumer trends and recently published studies that might influence demand;
- Studying demand for “natural” vs “gelatin” versions of products;
- Determining best manufacturing site for each product based on regional demand;
- Identifying top consumer targets by region, products of interest, and services of interest;
- Reviewing marketing plans including print ads, emails, webinars, tradeshows, sponsorship events, articles, and videos based on results of analysis; and
- Assisting with defining company marketing focus and growth strategy based on results of analysis and creation of reports.
