Department: Customer and Product Support
This position manages product lines for Terex Parts & Services (replacement parts for our equipment), supporting new and existing product offerings, and providing excellent support to our customers.
Specifically, the candidate must:
- Understand markets, customers, and economics for their product line, to fully develop quality and profitable products.
- Fully support the AWP sales department regarding products, product performance, markets, pricing, and competition.
- Demonstrate excellent information processing and communications skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
- Fully understand and embrace the short and long term vision of Terex AWP.
- Fully understand AWP's multi-functional business and work as a team member with all functional areas of the company.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Drives the execution of strategic product plans through extensive knowledge and research of customer needs, market trends, customer/market segmentation, distribution channel characteristics, target market size, external environmental and economic trends, and financial analysis.
- Identifies and implements new product offerings with a focus on brand (Genie Genuine, Value Brand, Supplier Brand), Price, and distribution strategy (warehouse, drop-ship, or both).
- Coaches, influences and educates others as to the business aspects of their product and market responsibilities.
- Leads development of sales and marketing plans & product introduction activities to improve image and drive volume
- Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position and the Enterprise.
- Suggests pricing strategies, analyze new business ventures, and assist key customers with marketing information and strategies.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Located in WA state, able to go into office with a hybrid schedule
- Degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing; or MBA
- A minimum of five years of product and marketing management experience
- Knowledge of business financials, business principles, and business processes
- Strong focus on customer responsiveness
- Knowledge of the principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing, and sales
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships, prepare and deliver formal presentations
- Strong data analytical skills
- Understanding of the manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, financial, and product support process
- Well-developed problem solving skills
- Time management skills
- Influencing skills
