Job Summary:
The Product Manager for Endodontic Equipment is responsible for ensuring the success of an assigned portfolio in new and emerging markets. This position is the lead advocate, representing Dentsply Sirona (DS) as the Dental Solutions Company, and is charged with crafting the strategy for an assigned portfolio, along with defining the messaging aligned to the broader DS story. In addition, the position is responsible for the marketing elements of the product development process, the global execution of marketing for new launches, and the support and lifecycle management of an assigned portfolio on an ongoing basis.
Essential Duties:
Market Insight:
  • Maintains a deep understanding of the endodontic market, including staying abreast of key market and clinical trends
  • Conducts research to identify customer needs, market gaps, validate strategy, messaging, and purchase intent
  • Assists with worldwide market research and voice-of-customer assessments, to generate customer and market insights
  • Transforms customer insights into new market opportunities and/or product enhancements

New product launches:
  • Identifies and prioritizes new product concepts for commercialization
  • Creates business plans, and marketing and communication strategies for the launch of new products/solutions
  • Works alongside product management teams to develop products in coordination with the respective counterparts in Research & Development, Operations, Clinical Affairs, Market Development, Regulatory/QA, and the Regional Commercial Organizations
  • Collaborates with downstream counterparts on positioning, messaging, and value proposition of new products/solutions
  • Creates and executes product training for sales and other key internal stakeholders
  • Recommends marketing strategies including advertising, packaging, pricing, expense budgets, profit plans

Existing product range:
  • Manages the lifecycle management for the existing product range, market environment analysis, and market surveillance
  • Develops concepts for the expansion of market share
  • Implements promotional strategies in cooperation with Market Development and Regional Commercial Organizations
  • Suggests enhancements of products and services to improve user experience
  • Prioritizes the implementation of new features and set specific timelines
  • Manages SKU rationalization process to minimize E&O
  • Recommends pricing strategies

Competitor activities:
  • Monitors competitor activities in the competitive environment as well as the development of response plans
  • Monitors and reports on end-users responses after product launches

Sales integration:
  • Analyzes sales performance for each product group and region
  • Partners with Market Development and the Regional Commercial Organizations to determine improvement opportunities as well as implementation schedules
  • Liaise with the Country Commercial Organization (CCO) and Business Development Team to ensure strong execution of launches and ongoing product support activities in the market
  • Creates support and training documents for internal and external users

Strategy/content responsibilities:
  • Works alongside creative teams to develop content for print and digital channels to drive revenue and share growth; including social media, print journals, e-commerce sites, blogs, webinars, newsletters, etc.
  • Interfaces with external agencies in advertising and PR
  • Works with Clinical Education and Clinical Affairs to establish course curriculum, webinar content, and clinical education events with the Dental Groups and commercial Clinical Education teams
  • Develops English master versions for marketing collaterals (brochures, advertisement, presentations, videos, etc.)
  • Identifies optimal positioning strategies

Key Relationships:
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with all key departments within the business and work closely with respective groups
  • Fosters strong relationships with partners and/or manufacturing suppliers
  • Builds strong relationships with commercial teams, speaking advocates, and key opinion leaders, input considered through all development activities

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or relevant field
  • MBA preferred.

Years and Type of Experience:
  • 3 - 5 years of product management experience
  • Experience with dental or medical equipment and procedures
  • Cross-Functional Leader/Project Management experience.
  • Experience in a Regulated Industry preferred

Required Computer Skills:
  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and Teams
  • Internet and Email applications.
