VMware Cloud Foundation™ is the cornerstone of VMware’s Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) architecture. The VMware approach to the SDDC delivers a unified infrastructure platform that provides customers the most flexible, elite hybrid cloud. We build on top of creative compute, network and storage virtualization offerings to build an automated hybrid cloud. This automation extends to managing the lifecycle of the cloud.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a rockstar Product Manager to join the VMware Cloud Foundation team and help define and evangelize 2nd party & 3rd party solutions

Cloud Foundation.

With a solid understanding of business needs, including customer, partner, technology and internal needs, you will drive initiatives to build integrated solution for Cloud Foundation. Success will be measured in understanding developer challenges, delivering VMware’s integrate solutions for Cloud Foundation. You will be working cross-functionally with engineering, field and other BUs to create a healthy ecosystem of solutions & tools

Responsibilities cover market strategy, technology vision, product definition, roadmap, direction of features, partnering, and release management for topics that may range from product features, partner integration, and platform extensibility.

• Contribute to creating a clear MVP definition and roadmap, working collaboratively with design and engineering to execute on it through proper prioritization
• Partner with users, customers, and account teams to facilitate successful open-source IaC tools
• Work with and understand the needs of enterprise developers, dev Ops, application and platform teams
• Engage with our customers to define top problems we need to solve and market opportunities for our products
• Leverage your past unique experiences to challenge us to embrace new approaches, designs, and perspectives.
• Communicate clearly the customer business and technical needs with engineering teams
• Engage customers with early beta release features, actively seek and internalize input from such customers and serve as a voice for the customer with the respective product teams
• Define and own the user feedback cycle and represent it to internal stakeholders.
• Obsessed with customers and users, use a variety of strategies, processes, and tools to understand their needs, conduct customer briefings, present at customer events
• Develop an internal and external developer outreach plan and engage DevOps community
• Collaborate with Product Marketing in collateral generation for sales & customer enablement
• Build unrivaled differentiators for your products based on market analysis & customer feedback promoting these in social media, user groups & conferences

Requirements:

• A strong customer-first attitude and passionate technologist, ready to evangelize within and outside of VMware
• 5+ years of Product Management experience in infrastructure space
• Experience with DevOps automation platforms and SaaS-based product and/or services
• Strong analytical skills and a natural predisposition toward data-driven decision making.
• Confident decision-making with the ability to influence internal and external partners
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally across engineering, sales, and marketing teams
• Experience in dynamic environments with overlapping projects/deliverables
• A roll up the sleeves approach to getting the job done with a strong collaboration mindset
• Experience in using agile software development methodologies and tools
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field and MBA are a plu
