Working within the Consumer Products department, the Product Development and Operations Coordinator will be responsible to ensure product development and operational strategies are fully implemented to drive revenues and net profitability. He/she will also be assisting with new projects and managing timelines. The Product Development and Operations Coordinator will:
  • Communicate with internal and external resources in the product development cycle, including sampling, design, production, etc.;
  • Recommend products based on market trend analysis information;
  • Manage and track the flow of production samples, art/licensee approvals and ensure up-to-library of art requests and samples;
  • Manage and maintain sample room operation, including ingoing/outgoing samples and organization;
  • Build strong cooperative relationships with various internal and external business partners;
  • Prepare sales reports for designated personnel;
  • Conduct regular visits to stores and recommend new products, promotional and/or visual enhancements;
  • Participate as a Consumer Products Representative with Partners i.e.: VP Retail Operations, engineering, show staff, etc. as needed;
  • Coordinate with partners and warehouse operations to ensure goods are delivered timely manner;
  • Participate and act as a liaison for the Souvenir Show Program development;
  • Assist with new projects, complete administrative tasks and manage timelines;
  • Other duties assigned.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • At least five years in traditional and/or non-traditional retail outlets, preferably in the entertainment industry;
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising or a related field;
  • Proven experience in the product development life cycle and retail operations;
  • Proven experience in merchandising with high-profile brands within a fast-moving show environment;
  • Working knowledge of e-commerce platforms;
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Working knowledge of all MS Office and Adobe Products is an asset;
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
