Savage X Fenty is looking for a Product Developer.

How Do You Fit In?

As the Product Developer, you will serve a critical role in coordinating style development from concept through production hand off. This role will be responsible for daily communication between internal departments as well as international partners. An ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive working relationships with all departments.

You will report to the Sr Director, Product Development and partner closely with the Buying, Production, Sourcing, Design and Merchandising teams

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee and manage Development process, partner with Designers/Tech/Raw Materials Manager/ Production Team/Merchandising and Factories to maintain brand calendar goals.
  • Work with Sr. Product Developer of PD to allocate and send Tech Packs to vendor using Centric PLM System.
  • Works with Sr Management to build long term vendor partnerships and alliances as required, cultivating the brand’s relationship worldwide
  • Manages the development and communication of seasonal time and action calendars with the vendor base ensures compliance to required dates
  • Partner with Tech to ensure fit timeline is adhered to for SMS and Bulk.
  • Partner with Production team to ensure all developments are feasible and can maintain quality standards for fabric and construction.
  • Identify and foresee obstacles and issues from all aspects of development. Facilitate and strategize with results driven approach to maintain smooth and on-time operation.
  • Responsible for smooth sample handover to Production, all Design information should be confirmed in timely matter to ensure accurate details.
  • Attend Weekly Cross Functional WIP Meetings, relaying all pertinent information to seasonal developments.

What You C an Bring:

  • AAS or BA in Product Development and Merchandising,
  • +5 years’ experience in product development.
  • Strong organizational skills. Ability to access information accurately and readily when needed.
  • Strong communication skills verbal and written - gives concise and focused information.
  • Excellent time management skills - ability to adhere to calendar deadlines and manage work flow accordingly.
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively with a diverse group of people.
  • Team player - ability to negotiate and build consensus across multiple functions.
  • Proficient PC skills (spreadsheets, word processing) PLM data management systems is a plus.
  • Previous experience working with PLM or PDM system
  • Denim experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
