Product Designer - Opportunity For Working Remotely San Francisco, CA

VMware’s End User Computing (EUC) Design team is looking for a talented Product Designer to join our team and help us create the next generation of products for our organization. Responsibilities

You will work very closely with product management to define product requirements and innovate new and meaningful ways to accomplish them with engineering team.

You will interact with various internal and external stakeholders, customers, marketing, and multidisciplinary development teams to bring your vision to production.

You would be expected to help define and identify requirements, create wireframes and user task flows to communicate your vision, prototype interactions, and resolve design trade-offs and implementation issues.

You will work with your design team to learn about your end users through research and use those insights to make your product better which might include:

• 
  Executing interaction design as a part of a multi-disciplinary team

• Collaborating on user experience planning with product owners and engineering architects

• Consulting with end users and business stakeholders in shaping the vision for the product

• Researching and careful adoption of interaction design trends

• Define the Mobile and Web UX standards and evangelize to the rest of the organization to build a consistent experience for all VMware applications and services

• Participate in critical design review sessions with cross functional Product designers.

Role Requirements:

• 1-2 years of user experience design experience for software, Mobile and/or Web applications which leverage emergent technologies, consumer electronics and/or mobile devices.

• Must love the challenge of quickly distilling complex problems into elegant, intuitive solutions.

• Demonstrable ability to create clear detailed design and interaction specifications.

• Strong working knowledge of Sketch, Figma and Adobe suite

• Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies for Android, iOS and Windows.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Agile, adaptable, and capable of delivering new products and features.

• Innovative and able to think outside the box.

• Obsessive attention to detail.

• Must have a portfolio to share.

Additional Requirements:

• Visual design skills and experience in using Abstract are a plus.

• Skilled in the use of Adobe Illustrator and other Creative Suite/Cloud products, Principle, After Effects, and other comparable tools.

• BS/BA or higher degree in Human Factors or HCI, Cognitive Psychology, Product Design, or equivalent work experience.

EUC Design team designs and delivers innovative “consumer-simple” solutions to complex enterprise needs.
