Job Description
Position Summary:
Assist the department in managing vendor cost files and retail pricing. Position would also be responsible for maintaining optimum inventory levels and working with the buying team in analyzing data, preparing reports and generating proper paperwork for all functions efficiently.
Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and trouble-shoot transaction paperwork related DSD activity in support of Category Management
Team.
2. Utilize inventory and accounting system to generate reports and complete purchase orders.
3. Perform analysis of financials, inventory volumes and retail activity.
4. Monitor vendor relationships and ensure compliance with established contract terms.
5. Receive, identify variances and assist with addressing as necessary.
6. Analyze data and prepare reports to assess performance of store promotions.
7. Perform item maintenance and gather new item info.
8. Provide data to internal departments such as accounting and POS.
9. Follow up with store operations and DSD vendors regarding in-store issues.
Working Relationships:
Internally with all departments as well as externally with all vendors.
Minimum Education: H.S. Diploma
Preferred Education: Associates Degree
Minimum Experience: 2 to 4 years Sales and Marketing experience in a retail setting
Preferred Experience: 3 years Sales and Marketing in a retail setting
Licenses/Certifications: N/A
Soft Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications, advanced Excel skills, excellent written and verbal skills as well as attention to detail.
