In this role, you will act as the first line of defense for procurement. You will perform tactical problem solving and mitigation activities while partnering with the relevant Category Management professionals to communicate progress to the business. This role is responsible for executing tasks related to compliance, contracts, vendor setup, supplier performance management, and ensure supply. Additionally, you will support Category Management professionals in achieving their category objectives; this will be done by mining data, collecting information, and distilling insights that can be used to identify value creation opportunities. Depending on your respective category alignment, category management responsibility may fall at either the localized or global level. Select category manager activities (e.g., coordination with suppliers and Nestrade buyers) may be required and dependent on category complexity.
Role level and category alignment dependent on applicable category experience, category complexity, supplier fragmentation, total spend, and other relevant factors.
Job Duties:
- Take actions to ensure supply for assigned categories
- Keep up to date on ensure supply issues
- Access, review, and complete system requests as required
- Drive achievement of supplier performance metrics and agreed upon KPIs
- Support Category Management professionals in executing Nestlé’s 7-Step Strategic Souring Process in the North American market, enabling value generation through sustainability, innovation, and cost improvements for Nestlé business units
- Provide updates to Category Management professionals and Nestrade buyers to guarantee clear communication and alignment on ensure supply activities and issues
- Leverage opportunities to lower total cost of ownership or increase value to the business while ensuring supply
- Use PowerBI to access reports and data related to compliance, contracts, vendor setup, and supplier performance management
- Use information, analytics, and reporting tools to perform supplier market analysis, category analysis, and supply risk analysis
- Leverage GLOBE and other reporting and problem-solving tools to identify areas for improvement and drive solutions
- Analyze spend data and cross-functional impacts to assist Category Management professionals and calculate TCO
- Carry out timely forecasting of future purchase price, including the benefits of cost improvement projects; serve as owner of cost savings initiatives as required
- Execute duties with Purchase Price Variance (PPV) including localization and cost impact of projects
- Leverage principles of project management to deliver functional commitments and goals
- Demonstrate ability to link day-to-day priorities to OMP/Roadmap key priorities and perform basic tasks related to project execution with help from Procurement professionals
- Create MEK1 conditions in SAP

Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in applicable fields required
- Knowledge of and experience with global procurement and sourcing processes, legal contract negotiations, and contract management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, SAP, Ariba, and I-Nexus experience preferred
