. Requirements:

Summary: The Procurement Inventory Specialist records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures. Maintains and actively develops vendor

relations, and applies best practices on behalf of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain daily, monthly work order and cycle counts performing inventory adjustments to meet the facility needs and business flow.
  • Maintain Master Price List is up to date and makes updates as changes occur from vendor.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable for financial reconciliation of all orders, deliveries, and receipts.
  • Act as main point of contact in any dispute or returns with vendor of inventory or supplies.
  • Through knowledge of QuickBooks, Google Apps & Smartsheet to perform daily, weekly, and month-end reports & inquiry reviews.
  • Champion and troubleshoot inventory control problems in a timely fashion by ensuring all inventory orders are received and placed in a timely manner.
  • Oversee and control the inventory stored in the Administrative office, ensuring monthly reconciliations and inventory is accurate.
  • Understand key processes, tools, and operations for efficient movement of goods through the manufacturing, procurement, and inventory process, by ensuring that all necessary office and clinical staff are aware of inventory and orders processes are known.
  • Keen ability to drive organization’s policies and procedures and guiding the facilities processes.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing, procurement, and inventory process processes by understanding and maintaining awareness of various platforms of product procurement.
  • Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the purchase of raw materials and delivery of finished products.
  • Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components and enter negotiations and discussions as needed with these vendors.
  • Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods.
  • Knowledge of the processes, tools, and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing, procurement, and inventory process.
  • Requires commute to and from dental facilities, administration offices and storage facilities, or communicate and coordinate with necessary personnel to ensure that all inventory, supplies, and products are received in a timely manner, and any unused or unusold inventory is property removed or discarded.
  • Maintain a good relationship with Associates and other members of Executive Management, on both Pediatric Dental and Orthodontic sides, to ensure that the inventory supplies, processes, and procedures are in line with clinical expectations.
  • Marketing and sales to potential orthodontic and pediatric dental referral sources.
  • Oversee local lab resources to ensure appropriate cases and fabrications are completed in a timely and clinically sound manner.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school degree; or relevant experience
  • Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license preferred
  • Orthodontic knowledge a plus
  • Experience in Microsoft Office preferred
  • Experience with using Google Suite a plus

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic office equipment such as: Computer, Internet, email, copy machines, and telephone.
