JOB SUMMARY:

As a Warehouse Supervisor you will be required to oversee and ensure the work of their department is done efficiently, effectively and meets the goals and objectives set forth for their area. Ensures the work of their team meets quality and production objectives and that all schedules are met.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES:

  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Examines product for conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Demonstrates methods and trains workers in sequence of processing tasks and operation and control of machines and equipment.
  • Inventories and requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies for department activities.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computing, or another related field from a four-year college or university

Experience:

  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manages subordinate employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Work Context:

Includes indoors and outdoors; in an office and warehouse setting environment where noise level and temperature may vary; will also be required to work in teams and answer e-mail and the telephone with long periods of sitting and screen time. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. This position may include stand, bend, twist, lift and carry goods worth 50 pounds or more. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and hazards.
