Job Description
A company in Elk Grove Village , IL is looking for a Process Technician Apprentice for a 1st shift opportunity.
Responsibilities:
This is an apprentice position focusing on plastic injection molding processes. Advancement to Process Support Technician expected after proven attendance and ability to learn.
Responsible for maintaining material supply requirements as assigned to each job order, in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain material levels at machines, including resin, color and regrind
Assemble gaylords for bulk jobs running
Learn how to troubleshoot and repair material system as instructed
Perform preventive maintenance on the material system
Notify Supervisor or Mechanic of any problems with machinery
Follow proper procedure for lock out/tag out when applicable
Perform general housekeeping of work area
Requires regular attendance in accordance with scheduled shift time and days; as well as compliance with Attendance Policy
Qualifications:
High school or equivalent required
Mechanical background STRONGLY preferred
Must complete forklift training and examination for proper certification
Frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Work is performed in an environment which may frequently expose employee to excessive noise levels requiring the use of ear plugs. Personal protective equipment (ear plugs) must be worn in all areas as required.
Must have good math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to stand for long periods of time (approximately 6-8 hours per day)
