Process Technician - 3rd Shift

PROCESS TECHNICIAN – 3rd Shift
We have a great opportunity for a 3rd Shift Process Tech to be involved in all stages of our Injection Molding Manufacturing and help us monitor and improve our processes so that we continue to deliver quality soundproofing products to the standards we are known for. We continue to add many positions over 3 shifts to keep up with demand.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process monitoring, verification and quality checks
• Cold start Injection Molding tools
• Daily part quality verification
• Follow machine schedule, start/stop/adjust and troubleshoot any equipment issues
• Minor repairs if needed such as changing heater bands, nozzle tips, screws and other machine parts
• 5s and organization of shop floor daily
• If needed, may assist with packager training and support

Job Requirements:

• Understanding of manufacturing process monitoring, and process fluctuations for quality part production
• Injection Mold Process knowledge
• Injection Machine and equipment experience including minor repairs (i.e. heater bands) as well as troubleshooting machine root cause and process issues
• Knowledge of all molded materials, especially nylon 66 and polypropylenes is a desire, but not a requirement
• Training certificates or 2-year degree preferred but not required

Pay rate: Negotiable based on experience
Potential Work Environment: Climate-controlled facility but temperatures may vary at times from hot and cold. At times, non-toxic fumes.
Physical Requirements: Standing 100% of the shift. Continual reaching, grasping, pushing and pulling objects. Crouching and lifting up to 30 lbs. on/off during shift and at times up to 50 lbs. Frequent bending, stooping, and walking. Safety glasses (provided) are required as well as steel-toed shoes in certain areas of our manufacturing floor.
