Medtronic’s Tempe, Arizona Microelectronic Solutions location is looking for a Senior Process Remediation Engineer who will provide support for the 24x7 Hybrid Manufacturing organization.

A Day in the Life
The focus for this role will be to lead the Process Validation Remediation efforts in alignment with the overall site FDA readiness activities. The selected candidate will have general/broad understanding of FDA compliance requirements and exposure to audits from regulated agencies.
The selected candidate will provide hands-on and technical support including process equipment maintenance and calibration, root cause identification, installation, modification, upgrades, programming and qualification of equipment and processes to understand and improve equipment performance and process reliability. The candidate will work with engineering staff to develop programs and execute procedures on a wide variety of PWB manufacturing equipment. Respond in a positive manner to pressures caused by changing priorities. Communicate effectively through written technical reports and verbal interaction. Collaborate in a team environment with other technicians and engineers and lead problem solving activities through the application of DMAIC principles
Must Have: Minimum Requirements- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
- Experience in performing/leading IQ/OQ/PQ & Gage R&R studies
- Process characterization and optimization using DOE methodology; FMEA experience required; Set up the control charts and make control plan; utilize FMEA risk assessment to design/improve the process to reduce risks;
- Experience with use of statistical process control and data analysis tools.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant microfabrication/ SMT experience
- Work with operations to determine sources of variability, equipment downtime, and yield improvements, and put plans in place to positively impact overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Set up the control charts and make control plan; utilize FMEA risk assessment to design/improve the process to reduce risks;
- Knowledge of micro-electronic packaging manufacturing technologies and equipment and processes including Die Attach, Wirebond, Transfer Mold, Direct Chip Attach, solder paste and reflow processes, PWB final sizing technologies including mechanical Rout/De-panel, Wet Saw Singulation and Excise, and dimensional verification using optical metrologies for packaging assembly.
