We are seeking a WW Sales Specialist (WWSO) Strategy & Operations (S&O) Leader to drive strategic programs, initiatives and processes that accelerate revenue growth and drive specialist productivity. They will identify and prioritize the most impactful opportunities through developing empathy for our customers’ needs, understanding the AWS business systems, applying best practices and analyzing root causes. They will be adept at presenting and engaging senior stakeholders across diverse organizations to pilot the program, with clear success criteria. Based on the outcome, they will simplify, optimize and improve the proposal before working with various stakeholders and operating teams to implement the program at scale, ensuring adoption among users and excellent customer experience and satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has experience in leading business strategy, innovation and transformation at scale in complex environments. They will have high business acumen and strong analytical skills coupled with strong collaboration and influencing skills. This is a hands-on position - the candidate must be willing to “roll up the sleeves”. The candidate will be a self-starter with a bias towards independent problem solving, a passion for identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, and has the foresight to anticipate business needs, make tradeoffs, and balance business dynamics despite constraints. The lead will thrive in a fast-paced environment, will be able to manage through ambiguity and complexity, and constantly seek ways to invent and simplify across the business.

This position can be remote, but candidates must be based near an AWS office location (Arlington, Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Cupertino, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, East Palo Alto, Herndon, Houston, Irvine, Minneapolis, Nashville, New York City, Pittsburgh, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington D.C., Sunnyvale, Santa Monica, Seattle, Tempe)

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Define key sales support mechanisms and programs to meet the rapid growth of the business and achieve revenue attainment and market development objectives
  • Drive pilots and change management and communications for new mechanisms and tools for the business unit
  • Development and facilitation of C-level engagements focused on improving customer engagement and developing long-term strategic relationships. This involves interfacing with multiple stakeholder groups and subject matter experts to understand customer needs, account planning activities, and the art of what’s possible.
  • Ability to understand long term strategic needs of customers and assist in development of AWS and Amazon business plans to meet these needs
  • Coordination across multiple Amazon teams to bring the right experts to discussions to maximize productivity of vision workshops.
  • Coordinate with other functional units within Amazon to ensure alignment of efforts and sharing of best practices.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop a scalable methodology and framework for the Executive Visioning program including design process, framework structure, metrics/impact measurement, and handoffs to appropriate teams (post workshop).
  • Obsessively improve customer interactions by capturing feedback, iterating, and developing a continuous improvement cycle for the Vision Workshop program.
  • Constantly innovate and improve programs and program management mechanisms, suggesting new ideas and best practices for improving the business and customer engagement and sharing artifacts within the AWS Knowledge Management system.Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; able to articulate customer and stakeholder recommendations, balance tradeoffs, drive consensus, and gain support by utilizing excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication.

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
  • Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, refine and implement sales processes, procedures and policies.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and efficient in ambiguous situations.

For employees based in Colorado, this position starts at $122,300/year. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
