Fidelity Investments is looking for top software engineer talent that can, via skilled development, drive high user satisfaction building the Olympus platform via an open source application. This role will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining the platform using AWS, Azure and mature development strategies.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / similar technical subject area and/or equivalent experience
- 7+ years Software Development
- Test Driven Development and CI/CD experience preferred
- Experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure is a plus
- Experience with Restful APIs is a plus
- Experience with Git, Node, Jenkins, Docker, AWS, Python, Shell Scripts
- Excellent and effective communication required
- Strong problem resolution skills required
- Ability to work in an agile environment required
- Accountable for consistent delivery of functional software – sprint to sprint, release to release
- Perfection in software development practices and procedures
- Participates in application level architecture
- Develops original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts
- Responsible for QA readiness of delivered software (end-to-end tests, unit tests, automation)
- Responsible for supporting implementation of moderate-scope projects or major initiatives
- Works on results-oriented and refined assignments and often multiple phases of a project
- Assists in developing departmental technical policies and procedures
- May assist in establishing project plans for projects of moderate scope
- Mentors junior team members
- As part of the Advanced Process Solutions division within Fidelity Investments, you will join a Scrum team of 6-8 highly hardworking individuals tasked with building and maintaining the new Olympus platform. This includes resolving platform technical needs, working with product owners and architects to resolve the best technology choices and strategies to ensure success, and implementing solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.
