The Principal, K-12 Marketing is responsible for overseeing and executing brand awareness, demand generation, and ongoing engagement programs to engage and continue to grow the educator community. The role is accountable for the strategic planning, development, and execution of multi-channel programs and marketing campaigns aimed to increase overall awareness of EVERFI's brand, courses, and programs in the community to drive activation and retention of teachers.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership to outline campaign goals in alignment with business objectives, then determine campaign strategy.
- Coordinate complex multi-channel campaigns and spearhead cross-team collaboration on all projects, with a strong focus on experimentation, iteration, and measurement. Track and manage deliverables to ensure on-time delivery and outstanding results.
- Oversee the development and performance of K-12's web presence that drive brand awareness, generate qualified leads, and accelerate inbound requests, resulting in activation and retention of teachers.
- Ensure brand consistency across all programs, communication channels, and platforms.
- Partner closely with other members of the Marketing team to optimize lead follow up and conversion from paid channels.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify research and thought leadership opportunities, and support the execution of these ideas all the way through to creative distribution methods and channels.
- Support the Communications Team to align strategic email nurture and content strategy based on personas and stage.
- Design Go To Market strategies for new and refreshed courses in close partnership with Product Marketing.
- Manage vendor and agency relationships to achieve team goals at a high-quality and within budget.
- Coordinate content and production of internal presentations and annual reports for management.
- Maintain current knowledge on marketing best practices, tools, news, trends, and the latest campaign strategies; and keep the Schools Team informed and trained.
- Mentor and guide other members of the team.
- Identify process improvements, outline recommendations, and coordinate with necessary stakeholders to get buy-in and promote effective marketing processes and programs.
- Lead internal leadership committees and taskforces for the K-12 team as needed.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 6 years of Marketing experience, including experience creating and managing successful marketing campaigns, generating qualified leads, and growing social audiences
- Experience managing a team or leading project teams
- Superior analytical skills with the ability to translate data and feedback into actionable recommendations
- Strong leadership skills with ability to independently drive campaigns forward and take, and own, reasonable, calculated risks
- Excellent collaboration skills; team player who effectively works cross-functionally
- Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, manage, and execute projects within budget and on schedule
- Superior written and oral communication skills, along with strong storytelling skills
- Self-motivated, creative, and strong problem solver
- Strong attention to detail and ability to balance multiple tasks and shifting priorities
- Working knowledge of marketing technologies and social channels including but not limited to Salesforce, Marketing Automation Platform (Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred), Google Analytics, Google AdWords, WordPress, Unbounce, Drift, Litmus, Sprout Social, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and TikTok

- Experience as an educator or working in education technology organizations preferred
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
