Job Description

At a glance

You are a product development expert with at least 10 years of power related experience including hands-on with high-frequency, low voltage buck systems power modules. Your experience includes strong knowledge in MOSFET device requirements, Gate Drivers, Capacitors, Inductors and use of these components in POL modules. In this role, your expert knowledge will lend well towards working with customers and engineering teams to define, choose components, develop, validate and design-in (Point of Load) POL IC’s and POL modules.

Job description

The DCDC Enterprise Power (EP) management business line defines, designs, develops, manufactures and markets PWM controllers, power stages and integrated Point of load (POL) products for the Server, AI, Communications, Consumer and industrial markets. We are looking for an engaged product development expert in power and POL modules with minimum 10 years of experience in related industries. The ideal candidate has knowledge of POL & PMIC buck regulator control theory, MOSFET device requirements, buck topology systems with a focus on creating POL modules for customers. Candidates are expected to have hands-on development experience in the area of high-frequency, low voltage buck systems (3.3V to 25V) power modules. As the PDE expert, you will work with customers and Engineering teams to define, choose components, develop, validate and design-in POL IC’s and POL modules.

In your new role you will:

  • Work with Infineon’s Server, Communication, Consumer, and Industrial customers and respective marketing teams to define and develop Point of Load (POL) silicon products and POL modules
  • Specify the MOSFET’s, the components (L’s and C’s) and packaging technology requirements for POL modules. Validate the individual components for POL modules including PCB, capacitors inductors, MOSFET’s etc. along with the module design
  • Work with internal development teams to verify POL module operation is fully validated, can be built in high volume, and that it meets target requirements
  • Work with QA and production to validate the modules for high volume manufacturing
  • Gain customer and application knowledge and understand device usage in end-application through regular Customer interaction
  • Create go-to-market evaluation boards, datasheets, application notes and design tools for new products and support customer project design-in activities
  • Provide second level support for complex technical inquiries from customers. Drive problem solving by simulations, system evaluation and bench testing
  • Provide advance technical training to regional FAEs on how to use Infineon components to enhance value of end-Customer’s products
  • Benchmarking of competitor’s products and generation of promotional material and collaterals (test reports, application notes, white papers) for product promotion
