Job Description
The Principal Consultant, Enterprise Information Technology role is responsible for selling and delivering research-based custom consulting engagements and solutions to Enterprise IT vendors, supporting the achievement of the consulting revenue target. Working on some of the most exciting projects in the market through our blue-chip client list, the successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening existing customer relationships – as well as developing new ones.
The Enterprise IT consulting team provide a range of research-based services which includes total addressable market analysis, competitor analysis, customer insights, product benchmarking and business strategy development. They also provide targeted custom marketing services which help our clients position themselves for growth, through the design and delivery of messaging strategies, the production of thought leadership white papers, case studies and public speaking, and the provision of audience extension and message amplification capabilities from across the Informa Tech brands.
We are looking for an individual with strong management consulting skills across a variety of technology areas, who has worked in highly collaborative, customer centric environments.
Job Description:
- Lead and support research-based consulting engagements, synthesizing conclusions and developing recommendations.
- Manage and develop high quality custom research deliverables, delivering projects to client satisfaction.
- Support business development and sales and research efforts to build the EIT consulting practice.
- Work closely with the Sales Organization and Senior Director Consulting to develop new business.
- Manage the proposal and bid stages of custom projects.
- Develop deliverables and materials in support of process improvements and consulting practice offerings.
- Work with the Senior Director Consulting to implement the group and regional growth strategy, building on Informa Tech’s reputation as an industry thought leader.
- Achieve personal revenue utilization targets.
Qualifications
At least 4 year’s practical experience in management consulting.- Formal project management experience: awareness of budget, timeline, and program delivery management.
- Demonstrable experience in leading consulting engagements.
- Proven experience in meeting or exceeding revenue utilization targets and metrics.
- Consulting sales or business development background. Commercially strong with experience in writing, presenting, and selling compelling proposals.
- The acumen to engage with senior client executives and to collaborate with internal subject matter experts and sales colleagues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
Remote position- US Central Time Zone hours.
The ability to travel nationally and occasionally, internationally
