Prin Mfg Process Spec

Overview: GD-OTS is looking for a Principal Manufacturing Process Specialist to join our Lincoln, NE research and development organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow.
GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 50 years of expertise, General Dynamics designs, develops, manufactures and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks.Major Position Responsibilities:

• Research and Development (R&D) of high performance composite materials.
• Provides technical analysis and information for engineering, customer and sales support.
• Responsible for resolving material related problems including environmental and quality issues.
• Technical support for procurement, engineering and customers on material related issues.
• Ensure support documents are created and distributed/posted in timely manner. TDS, SDS, Labeling of product/packaging, etc.

• Analyzes, test, and evaluates raw materials, in-process products, and final products.
• Conducts experimental work on projects; sets up the procedure and performs the experiment based on established protocols, developed procedures or experimental designs.
• Provides guidance and training for technicians on analytical procedures and instructions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, or similar field
• Five years polymer chemistry experience
• Composite product manufacturing experience
