At Bind, Pricing Analysts support a variety of key analytical and financial functions for the Benefits Strategy and Underwriting teams. They work to gather and analyze key financial information, reviewing plan experience and design information quickly and accurately to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies. This role flexes from supporting small groups to our largest clients to complement the Benefit Strategies and Underwriting functions at Bind.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Minneapolis, MN or NY preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Modeling and forecasting plan performance for new clients
- Providing renewal & forecast support for existing clients
- Evaluating individual employer and book-of-business performance
- Assisting and supporting underwriting for guarantees & stop loss
- Supporting other financial and design-related requests risk-based arrangements
- Helping to standardize processes as Bind grows
- Documenting compliance with industry regulations
- Streamlining established processes via MS Office automation or other tools
- Developing standard processes for new work, as Bind continues to grow

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1+ years of experience supporting financial forecasts in a health and benefits or actuarial role
- Solid skills in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and in particular financial charts and graphs)
- Willing to work eastern/central hours, due to clients needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Actuarial exam track
- Experience developing and reviewing health care cost projections
- Experience working with health plans ranging from small to large group
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
- Agile, ready to change direction on the fly
- Ability to prioritize needs of competing interests and execute under time constraints
- Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic organization
- Ability to manage high volume of details with precision and excellence in short and inflexible timeframes
- The ideal candidate will reside either in Minneapolis, New York City, or an Eastern/Central time zone if telecommuting

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
